The Hero Squad Program
A science-based, service learning program for students ranging from Kindergarten through High School. Since 1993 students and educators throughout the country have raised more than $368 million in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) goal to cure blood cancer and improve the lives of patients and their families. Elementary and middle schools also receive the LLS STEM curriculum to incorporate into their lesson plans throughout the school year.

HOW IT WORKS
- 3 week fundraising campaigins benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)
- Students fundraise by collecting donations during the campaign.
- Schools coordinate fundraising events, unifying their student bodies
- Top Fundraising Classrooms within participating schools receive celebration parties.
WHY PARTICIPATE?

40% of pediatric cancers are blood cancers.

In the last 30 years, only 4 oncology drugs have been approved for first use in children.

Approximately 80% of childhood cancer survivors develop one or more chronic health conditions as a result of their treatment.
